John McDonald

John moved to Cornwall with his family at the age of ten. He attended the University of Western Ontario with the intention of attending the famed Western School of Business. His interest shifted to law during second year and prior to entering business school. After completing his Bachelor of Arts at Western he obtained his LL.B from the University of Windsor.
John and his wife Valerie, who was born and raised in Cornwall, have three beautiful daughters. John has live and practiced in Cornwall his entire career.
John is the managing partner of McDonald, Duncan. His area of practice is Business Law and Estate Planning. His legal representation includes:

He has represented many of Cornwall and areas most progressive and successful businesses and business owners as well as financial intuitions and municipal governments.
John has served as President of the SD&G Bar Association, Campaign Chairman and President of the United Way of Cornwall and Area and Chair of Cornwall’s Heart of the City Inc. He is the current Chair of the Downtown Business Improvement Area, and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
